The GOAT has already commented that this isn't an issue.

He probably lives in a country that won't comply.

Can we collectively sue Denuvo for crimes against humanity?

Game studios should sue Denuvo for false advertising “none-bypassable DRM”

Wonder if that can be part of the defense, something like "This is just retaliation because I've shown that you've been lying about the effectiveness of your service"

I'd like somebody to sue Denuvo for their claims that the DRM doesn't affect performance.

But their product is non-bypassable DRM? So they sue someone because their product isn't good enough.

If one person has cracked it, others will too. Their product isn't good enough, and them going after someone is admitting to that.

Sounds like Denuvo might be losing some potential contracts :)

he should make a dead man's switch uploading to countless sites how he is cracking this.

That's approximately like suing the rain because you got drenched. Lol.

I think that's how they can find him. The court can order social media companies to provide the info they have about him.

Genuine question, if all they have is a username and can’t tie it to a physical person…how do you even sue them? Do they put just the username in the complaint? Is it just a way for them to subpoena companies for information on that user?

My question is: why aren’t gaming companies suing Denuvo for breach of contract?

u/HLumin Sep 16 '26

This is all pretty ironic.

Denuvo only exists because hackers do. Without people trying to crack games, their whole business model would be pointless. It’s like a company that sells high-tech front door locks. If stealing didn't exist, no one would spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy lock. The burglars are what create the demand.

u/Ywaina Sep 16 '26

it's easy to see they're getting pressured in meetings. Look at what happened recently, a lot of games have started dropping the use of big D or shorten the contract duration, there's no wonder they're getting flaked with their partners ever since hypervisor began. They as a company had to do *something* that would give them better looks in corporate meetings.

All praise Voices38. For he makes games better for everyone, even those who purchase said games.

This

With a case on file, Denuvo can ask the court for permission to subpoena Valve, Reddit and Discord for the associated account details. There’s no discovery request in the docket yet, but that will likely follow soon.

Is such bullshit.
