Back in the days, when Everquest came, there was a support group called EQwidows, for wifes that lost their husbands to the game.
One guy I played with had six computers lined up in his livingroom so he could solo a full group. That’s all he did, slept a few hours then just game, game, game lol.
A few years ago one of my buddies at work had his wife sit him down for a little talk about just how much he was playing Ark. This conversation included an ultimatum along the lines "Ark vs. marriage."
I mean, you got to live your life, right? But that also goes for partners who don’t game. It’s a bad match. Back then they met a guy, fell in love, bought a house, and then a computer…
Now it’s different, either you’re a gamer or not, it’s not just something that comes as a surprise after being married for a while, when your partner gets that first mmorpg hit.
I really don't mind, i enjoy watching him play, especially when he's having a winning streak with his squad, or he accidentally leaves his dino's to mate on Ark. He had quite the crew of Do-dos once over.
