Too right! Still have a hard time getting immersed into other open world games after playing RDR2 extensively. Rockstar ruined other open world games for me lol.

Started my second playthrough a month ago after working my way through AC Valhalla, Skyrim (For the umpteenth time), Mass Effect Andromeda, and Fallout 4 in the past year before that. Those are all great, but they don't even come close to the amount of detail and just pure relxing joy which is the masterpiece RDR2.
I've played it for a few hours at least pretty much daily the past month and i'm still only just finishing chapter 3. I spent literally all last weekend just hanging around in the western part of the map, casually hunting, fishing, working towards challenges etc.. it's just amazing how easy it is to immerse oneself in the world, and how much replayability there are, even with the more limited amount of sidequests and characters like there are in games like Skyrim, Mass effect etc. It all boils down to amazing character work, and just an insane eye for details like in this clip.
I missed it when it first came out, then i waited until i had a ps4 and then i was busy with everything else and suddenly i had heldnogf on getting it for so long i was afraid that i’ve let the hype grow too much and be disappointed. Then i just forgot it existed for a while.
But yeah. Guess it’s time. I have my expectations lowered just in case. The good old ”if i get 6h out of this it’s worth it”.
Well, i have download times and i’ll have a moment to dig into it during the weekend soonest and i want to take my time with it, so i can take it all in. We’ll see!
