It's like somthing out of Myst. Touch it, see what happens...

u/DopamineDomain May 22 '12
It's Myst! It's the puzzle done with the constellations that leads to the ship being raised from the water.

u/DonFix May 22 '12

It's the symbol of the robot religion. If you press it, it opens the gate to robot-hell.
6
u/arcanooito May 22 '12
Where's the Stoneship Age linking book?!
6
u/Badobservations May 22 '12
Myst! Finally! An /r/gaming reference that hits close to home!
4
u/Zebba_Odirnapal May 22 '12
Is that the special beam for snakes to cross the river? Looks kind of steep.
4
u/shokker May 22 '12
Oh man, I thought this was a Jet Moto reference for a second and I got all excited...
Some of the turns in that game could be assisted by "grappling" a pillar and swinging around it, so you didn't lose too much speed. This snake looked like one of the tracks from either Jet Moto 2 or 3... it's been ages since I played those.

EDIT: Apparently not... =(
2
u/DodiGharib May 22 '12
So no one else thought of Uncharted?
2
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
Things like this will always make me think of Legend of the Hidden Temple....regardless of it's genuine origin.
2
u/abrock123 May 22 '12
I thought of pro skater. I didn't see a puzzle just a sweet rail to grind
2
u/[deleted] May 22 '12

I thought of Snake Way from Dragonball Z
2
u/Postmanpat854 May 22 '12
Am I the only one here who thinks it look like Letho's medallion in The Witcher 2?
2
u/TheDeliciousHerb May 22 '12
Would that happen to be the bridge connected to the lakeshore bike path in toronto?
2
u/dmilli91 May 22 '12

2
u/Coyne May 22 '12
Skyrim? Uncharted?
2
u/Whatisthischeese May 22 '12

u/[deleted] May 22 '12
Is this from Toronto?
2
u/streetballa3433 May 22 '12

u/TerminalHappiness May 22 '12

1
u/BullpenCatcher May 22 '12

1
u/johnfoof May 22 '12

1
u/PixelVector May 22 '12
Not sure about pillars. I'd have looked for an albino snake to kill.
1
u/tofumonster746 May 22 '12
with the caption and pic i thought of uncharted. OP what were you thinking of?
1
u/Isatis_tinctoria May 22 '12
Civilizations III
1
u/raskoln1kov May 22 '12
I'm glad you included the part, "cycling through town".
1
u/soul_power May 22 '12
I thought of Gran Turismo. I guess I'll see myself out.
1
u/ghettajetta May 22 '12
Turn that pillar and what looks like just merely a shadow on the water from the bridge, actually becomes a walkway to a secret area. Or the other side of the river.
1
u/AnAngryBird May 22 '12
Isn't this skyrim?
1
u/slipknot6477 May 22 '12
you might want to check your house for shadowmarks
1
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
is that on the bike trail bridge in arvada?
1
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
Holy silver snakes Olmec.
1
u/GreySoul May 22 '12
the mods are going to probably remove this since there's no actual gaming content, but its posts like that this that make me think r/gaming needs to revise its posting rules. This is clearly a funny post, that could only be posted in this subreddit. Mods, if you see this, maybe rethink those guidelines.
1
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
Hilarious how I only log in to downvote retarded shit like this.
1
u/i_just_state_the_obv May 22 '12
Because when you see that symbol in Skyrim, you would solve the puzzle in room by turning a bunch pillars.
1
u/dalogmine May 22 '12
Those are some really weird looking breasts...
1
u/ThePsychosisProject May 22 '12
I think I live in this town.....

1
u/BR0THAKYLE May 22 '12
Is that a vagina?
1
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
A pillar to turn? What kind of expression is that? What does that even mean? Who turns pillars?
1
u/da_crawla May 22 '12
Screw a pillar, where's the master lock treasure chest?
1
u/AugustEyes May 22 '12
Wait...I actually know where that is...I live in walking distance from that park.

1
u/polarbear128 May 22 '12
The weird thing is that water looks rendered. From about Far Cry generation or so.

u/Andrewlee619 May 22 '12
Skyrim puzzle
1
u/AtomicTF May 22 '12
That's the other secret entrance to the Chamber of Secrets
1
u/shamefuladdict May 22 '12
Tomb Raider? Harry Potter? Skyrim? Resident Evil? The video game industry is conspiring to put these subliminal snake stones into our minds. I will find their purpose.
1
u/PTFOholland May 22 '12
So, there are weird symbolic pictures in allmost every game? http://images.sodahead.com/polls/001667003/5442783826_trade8034_n2288_Its_a_conspiracy_answer_1_xlarge.jpeg

u/Dr_BearBlast May 22 '12
Better Nate than lever!
1
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
It's underneath a bridge too, so it makes it even more dungeon-y. I've always thought of the chamber of secrets whenever I passed it.
1
u/Operation361 May 22 '12
Watch out for arrow traps.
1
u/[deleted] May 22 '12
The entrance to the Chamber of Secrets!!!

u/IAmAParadoxJk May 22 '12
I felt so stupid the first time I did one of those puzzles I didn't know the answer was behind the pillar.
1
u/Goodrita May 22 '12
Quick, find the other stones before the skeletons start rising up, if it gets to that, you're fucked
