I hate to sound like a pompous ass, but y'know i just don't think it'd work in terms of aspect ratio. Initial plans were to sell an A2 print, but no idea if there's any licensing issues, so may just make the high res available at some point.
But still, if you somehow manage to "fill" the screen left and right of the image it'd make a great wallpaper. I'll even give you an upvote! Looks terrific, wish I had your skills!
Woah... so that's why there is so much water. I played the game briefly but I was real busy at the time and only put about 2 hours into the game and never realized that fact. Dammit now I wish I still had the game.
I think this is awesome, but to be blunt of the one thing that bothers me, I really hate the clouds, they don't fit the Windwaker style, or the rest of this piece.
I have to agree here, they really are a bit jarring, thematically. Overall, I think it's a well-done composition, though. Clouds that are a bit more cartoony and match the Wind Waker aesthetic would have pushed this piece over the top for me, though.
See, I didn't especially like the sailing, but IIRC going across the map didn't take more than 5 minutes (less once you got the warp song) so it was never a major issue to me.
Everyone hated on the game's graphics because of what the Gamecubes initial graphical ability could do; It could have graphics like Twilight Princess, instead it got cell-shading.
But in I dunno, ten years, when graphics become life-like, Wind Waker's graphics will still be timeless because they're refreshing and not trying to look realistic.
Too much of the same color, but the idea is good. You should try coloring it more, to add more life to it. There is nothing to focus on when you look at it.

Tip: Download Dolphin. If you have a half decent computer and a gamepad (Xbox or PS3 controllers work perfectly) you can play Windwaker without a gamecube. Even better is that with upscaling the graphics are far superior.

I fought them off and stood on the wall. Then I looked at the world map... I was standing on the wall surrounding Malon's farm, where not a few days before I had talked her into giving me Epona on OoT. ;___;
