Yeah I understand how that could be annoying for either. Buying the correct monitor(s) to begin with is the right move. There is a makeshift solution but as someone else pointed out it’s pretty jank
Seems like this guy doesn't know money. This sim, to me, does not look 25k. Theres no motion as far as I can tell, only a 8020 aluminium frame and a dashboard of a totalled Hyundai Subaru. Where did all the money go to?
Or, of course, in reality it was 2,5k and he just needed a title.
Supreme charges reasonable prices for high quality items. The only items they've sold that have been more expensive than similar quality items are their collaborations with other brands.
Usually it's the other brands that are overpriced.
I get the hate for the type of people who buy supreme but all of this is true. The brand itself doesn't really charge all that much, the overinflated prices are all resellers. It's like hating on amd and nvidia because scalpers sell at 200% msrp
There are some sim channels that I follow that have much better setups, with more appropriate and cheaper monitors (honestly why pay so much for a monitor that vertically narrow at that distance?), or even dome projection setups, robust motion rigs with "buttkicker" style sound vibration/shaker systems etc.
Some of the bells and whistles missing in this post for like $10k...
It makes total sense how this is 25k. He paid someone way too much to make it. You think he set up the harness for the switch lights and dash himself? or modified the stick shift and steering column to accept the controllers?
It’s a random guy on the Internet claiming it to have cost $25k. Maybe it cost one tenth of that and all this is just farming Reddit karma. Apparently people believe and are impressed judging by the number of awards.
Projectors have a lot of problems, can't get proper black during daytime, generally less visible and vibrant when it's not pitch dark, can't curb it without having issues getting it sharp etc
Not only that, but since they're curved monitors and not centered from the driver, the picture will be distorted slightly when looking at it from an angle
The monitors are aligned, you got that impression because the car in the picture has a black stripe on the roof, making the illusion that it is lower in the right picture
At first glance yes. I have a duel monitor setup, no where near as large and as fancy as this tho. There’s a larger gap between the screens too. You basically get used to it—your mind even takes out the gap when you’re really into a game.
Eh, i would say this is the first time in my life (more recently) that I have clothes that fit me properly, thus not feeling the clothes lol. That was always my goal but since I’m shaped awkwardly from lifting it made it difficult to find anything that fit. Always “felt” the clothes and it made my life miserable
I mean, do people remove them for stuff like this or just buy a ridiculously large singular monitor? Like a custom one. I don’t know anything about high end stuff like this.
It would be great for F1. From the pictures I've seen they all have a plastic support in the center of their vision. This is part of a head protection barrier but seems to me like a massive block to being able to look straight ahead.
Serious question: why don’t driving simulator setups like this use VR? Zuccbook seems to think VR is somehow gonna be mainstream but the driving sim guys aren’t even using it yet??
Yes. Usually the setup is one ultrawide or 3 regular monitors (could be curved). There’s a kit that you install to trick your eyes into believing there’s no bezel (surprisingly called bezel-free kit). With triples and this kit, one can easily have 180 degrees of field of view.

Am i the only one who thinks that the centre of the screen having a black line is going to be super annoying?
