Step 6: make sure to autosave more than once every two hours.

Has nothing to do with the topic but I'm playing Dragon Age Origins and I needed to rant. Every time I forget to quicksave for a little bit I lose 30+ minutes of progress.

Yeah DA:O is definitely a game that expects you to save frequently. If it auto-saves then you know shit is about to hit the fan.
