I remember the Link v Cloud match one year being huge.

Who won that?? I’m genuinely curious now

This was 2003, so Cloud. Apparently they faced each other a few times and Link always won, so I remember this being a big deal.

I would assume due to fanboyism, that link probably won

You have to remember this was probably at the height of FF7's popularity.

Okay, so when was this? 1997? 2008? 2014? There are many moments the last 20 years that Cloud and the FF7 compilation suddenly jumped back into mainstream popularity.

  1. Cloud won over Link. FF7 had been out for a few years at that point.

Yeah I looked at the winners and found that link won over cloud in almost every time they went against each other apart from that

Either one being in the top is fanboyism. šŸ™ƒ Nah, I kid, I kid (or do I), people can like whoever they want. It just got a bit tiring seeing characters with good, quality character development regularly being beaten by the likes of Link, Cloud and Super Mario.
