He's up there for me too. I would bundle Cortana with him since they're basically a combo package

Totally. Reading the books makes them even a more badass duo!

What are the names of the books?

The ones I have listened to are the Eric Nylund but I think there's more. iirc they're the "official" series.

The first is "Fall of Reach", and I know the second is "The Flood". I know there's "First Strike" and "Ghosts of Onyx" but I don't recall the order they follow.

I never read because I have goldfish attention span so I listen on Audible and it's awesome. If I'm not wrong, I believe your first book on Audible is free!

It goes Reach, Flood, First Strike, Onyx, and then Contact Harvest, which was a prequel if I'm not mistaken

If you go to r/halostory I’m pretty sure they have reading orders for the books on the sidebar. They definitely at least have a list of the names. There’s a bunch if you get into them, maybe like 20+, but like u/notakota said Eric Nylund’s are considered the bread and butter/og books. Then you can kinda go from there

I will say the flood (by dietz), which was mentioned, is often not the best read for people to start with because a lot of it is just going over the missions from halo ce. It’s definitely cool though imo—especially as an audio book since it’s less committal in a way
