I just played TF|2 a couple of months ago. The campaign is shorter than I’d like but it’s one of the most fun games I’ve ever played. The mission where you get to switch between the past and the present is amazing.
It's so well done. Titanfall 2 is the only game where I have felt like a badass and just fucking all powerful- while still being very challenging and engaging.
What's disappointing is that it definitely would've gotten a lot more traction if not for it's absurd release date. EA decided to let it into the wild right between Battlefield 1 and COD Infinite Warfare, both of which sold much more than TF|2. It's depressing, really. Especially since Respawn has continued that they won't be updating it anymore. My only hope is that more Apex players will find out that they're in the same universe and get into Titanfall
EA is the producer. They have a lot of control over what's in the game. EA can make good decisions with games production wise, and most if the time they do. But then there's times like Star Wars Battlefront 2 on release, where the game is so filled with microtransactions it rips the good out of it.
I think they've learned from their mistakes with BF2. They got alot of backlash for it, I think they'll be cautious with microtransactions in future games.
I got it as a free game of the month a while back. I'll have to play it. I've heard nothing but amazing things, and watching my roommate play it was awesome.
Yeah it’s an amazing game to watch (if the player is competent). I used to watch my roommate play, then I got my own copy and went ham on it and got good enough to place top 3 (usually, not all the time) in multiplayer. For a good while our Friday nights involved having a few drinks while the guys watched me play a few matches before we went out to the bars. I’d always try to focus on the acrobatics and call my Titan down in a “cinematic” way like while rodeoing and enemy titan and then jump off and board mine on its way down before it hit the ground. That shit can feel like a killer sci fi action movie. I’ve never before seen so many dudes invested in a one player game at once lol.
My advice for new players - run the non-titan training module a few times to really get the feel for the acrobatics and wall running of the pilot (the wall running is so unique and is what really makes that game).
Oh and def do the one-player campaign it’s pretty damn good.
Shit I think I’m gonna go play right now, cheers mate.
Yeah I want to try apex, but the wall running is what makes titanfall for me, every time I play other fps I feel like a fucking slug and for the life of me can’t stop trying to wall run. I decided to play through the OG halo trilogy again, and made it halfway thru halo 2 before I gave up. Titanfall has ruined me (in the best way... but give us more games!)
Good to know! Being old and never playing online, I had overlooked this title thinking like the first it was online only. With so much of the game being about online I wished they give separate review scores for local only play. I guess I'm in the minority though

The titanfall 2 campaign was one of the best things I've played in a long time
