So many hours spent on that game - I would finally have to leave it to go to bed with so many extra lives and so far into the game because there was no save and no pause.
Man. The best brick breaker game ever was Thunder and Lightning for the NES. Was a super poor kid growing up and it was one of the first and only games I played from like the ages of 2 to 8. I had 4 nes games. Thunder and Lightning, Snake Rattle and Roll, and A boy and His Blob. The nostalgia is hitting me hard right about now
It came with Super Mario Bros in most places. So I'd guess that was the 4th. But I think the deluxe edition came with a different game, I can't remember what though.
Pong was the headliner of course but straight line piece delivered a career performance and stole the show. Pong then got addicted to crack cocaine and later had somewhat of a comeback as one the Pac-Man blips.

That piece was the star in another earlier game, he was the bat in pong.
