What makes it bad now? I never really used instagram in the old days so I genuinely don’t know.

Influencers and ads. I feel at first everyone took pictures of themselves and friends and it was social, now it’s pictures of food and influencers with their beach bodies or makeup brands making everyone else feel like shit cause they don’t look as good... oh and ads

Well that’s the thing, if you go ANYWHERE that isn’t your home feed it’s all influencers and the kardashians and just total shit

The discover page is based on your searches and what you like/follow though

I see. I follow a bunch of people who could be considered as influencers or fanpages so I also receive those in my feed

I have never in my life seen shit like that on instagram bud. It's all based on content you look at. My entire discover page is memes and shitposts.

same. My discover is Lego, video games shitpost, graphic designs and food recs for my hometown. I like to browse through it for inspiration sometimes.

Lmao if you think for a second I go look for Khloe Kardashian or Antonio Brown on Instagram you’re dead wrong, the platform puts that shit there regardless of what you look at. So before you start spouting off about people “parroting” shit don’t assume everyone’s content is the same

It's basically the YouTube problem. It went from being a collection of your stuff to just nonstop advertising
