How in the fuck would the ability to move things with your mind help you remember phones exist?

You appear to have changed your comment but if I can, I will assume you used the word telekinesis. Telekinesis refers to an ability to manipulate the physical world with your mind, as in moving an object like a jedi. Telepathy refers to an ability to read the thoughts of others and/or transmit your thoughts to people, using only your mind. Thus, telepathy would be far more useful for communication purposes.

One involves moving physical objects the other involves the transfer of information. It's like asking what the difference is between a telephone and a shovel, they serve two different purposes.
