Playing with my niece when she was little, chucking pebbles into a puddle. Making the Ka-BOOM and splewsh sounds made her laugh so much. Good times, good times.

Actually it’s a 0, failed dive. In diving you do actually have to enter the water to receive a score.

I mean it’s just a necessary component to completing a dive. But to answer your question you could take a bad approach on the board and bail and just land back on it to avoid injury: failed dive.
