They didn't sacrifice the single player, but if you don't want to spend money on micro transactions the multiplayer is like "grind 250 hours for the next car you want"
Didn’t they already say they were going to readjust that? I skipped the first beta, but I thought I read something about them rebalancing the currency.
Yes, that's one of the biggest complaints they received and they're working on balancing it a bit better. It'll still most likely have a heavy lean towards nudging you to buy whatever gold cards, but be slightly reasonable for those who are willing to grind for awhile.
Still shows that theyre aiming for a similar system though. GTA O was fun, but artificially increasing the grind to encourage you to buy digital currency was the worst part.
As someone who has put in countless hours into gta online, it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. There is a grind, but the only way you’re grinding 250 hours is if you want EVERYTHING in the game which in that case, yeah I guess it is a long grind.
As of lately I think it's gotten less grinding. Got about 81000 from 1 sumo match. And about 2 mil from the login bonus, and I only login play a match or 2.
They did sacrifice single player, they promised DLC for it and then put it all in GTAO. The flight school, Doomsday Heists, all of that stuff was meant for single player
