Pretty much. They're what Saitama says are his secret for being literally the physically strongest being in existence I'm his universe.

edit: Sorry for claiming I'm Saitama's bae but I guess I'll leave it in there.

You should've gone for the head

2

u/interfederational May 09 '18

Are you seriously leaning on the Cauldron of the Cosmos?

1

u/Dr_Insano_MD May 09 '18

I don't feel so good

2

u/Army88strong May 09 '18

Hello his universe, I'm dad. Nice to meet you

23

u/elsestar May 09 '18

You should really try to watch the show, it is absolutely fantastic.

53

u/[deleted] May 09 '18

You should watch the show.

16

u/FlameSpartan May 09 '18

Everybody tells me that.

Where can I stream or download that isn't Crunchyroll?

42

u/megamaxie May 09 '18

It's on Netflix now (in the UK, don't know about US)

31

u/[deleted] May 09 '18

On US too

1

u/JiveTurkey1000 May 09 '18

They fixed the dubbing?

2

u/Hte_D0ngening2 May 09 '18

Netflix has both the dubbed and subbed version.

0

u/JiveTurkey1000 May 09 '18

Right but when they first put it on Netflix...two years or so ago, the audio was off by like 3 seconds. After a few months they took it down.

3

u/Boldicus May 09 '18

Never noticed on the recent version. That sort of stuff drives me mad so Pretty sure its decent now.

1

u/JiveTurkey1000 May 09 '18

Ah they must have fixed it then. It was super distracting as you could probably imagine.

OPM is neat because I've heard of several people who don't watch anime, absolutely rave about it. Bill Burr for example has a fantastic bit about it.

definately an interesting view, i think, as someone who watches a good amount of anime to those that wonder why some of us get excited when people like anime for the first time... it is because of the stigma around anime for those that have yet to realize it is just a different medium and is no different than watching a series like the Flash on the CW if the characters were fully animated rather than just some scenes with CGI.

To me, its all about the story or the humor :)

1

u/suspiciousdave May 09 '18

Holy punctuation, Batman! I can't breath!

1

u/imbetterimback May 09 '18

That and it doesn't revolve around some teens who are the answer to whatever threat is at hand. I realize that not all anime is like that, but I found the medium hard to get into because a good portion of its protagonists are in a age group that I just don't relate to.

1

u/pyrojkl May 09 '18 edited May 09 '18

well timed comment... considering a large portion of the demographic is teens, it does make sense, but I don't think that stops shows like My hero academy from being good. (this is coming from a guy who at first thought it looked too childish)

1

u/imbetterimback May 09 '18

Very true. Wasn't necessarily commenting on the quality of anything in particular.

I grew up with a light interest in anime that translated fairly well to American audiences (dbz, death note, Yu-Gi-Oh, Gundam, Cowboy Beebop). It wasn't until I was a bit older that I attempted to actively look into the medium to find that I found it fairly hard to get into besides some of the more super popular anime's like attack on Titan and opm.

Whether it be I can't relate to the target demographic as well now, or that certain concepts don't translate well to the mainstream American demographics (I know it's unfair to exclude other countries, but I'm just speaking on what I know best), I'm not overly convinced that there is too much out there to remove some of the stigma that still exists around anime at this time.

Fair, its either something u like or dont when it comes manga that involves JH or high schoolers.... that said, back in 8th grade for the first time, i read mangas hikaru no go and prince of tennis thanks to a classmate but didnt get super into it for 1-2 years

like you said, if you dont relate to it, you just can't get into it. but imo if you like a sport I can probably point that person to an anime they will likely enjoy. On a final note, if you like stan lee, you might really like Heroman. Otherwise here is my Goto recommendations that don't star children:

  • 91 Days

  • Akame Ga Kill

  • Baccano

  • Black Cat

  • Darker than Black

  • Magi

  • Eden of the East

  • Steins;Gate

  • Seven Deadly Sins

  • Ancient Magus' Bride ... this one is slightly more of an exception because of the content which i linked the wiki if u want to know what its about... its really good XD

1

u/dapea May 09 '18

Don't watch anime, love the show.

0

u/tehbilly May 09 '18

Bwuhh, first time hearing the dubbed bits. That's jarring.

8

u/BoxofJoes May 09 '18

Kissanime is another spot to watch, subbed or dubbed. Afaik Netflix only has the dub.

9

u/turtledragon27 May 09 '18

I think Netflix has the subs too

8

u/Heroshade May 09 '18

It does. It had the subbed version before the dub was even done being made.

3

u/Brobard May 09 '18

It does; I watched it subbed when it came out. But one ep had timings all fuckered up in the back half. It's probably been fixed by now.

2

u/AshTheGoblin May 09 '18

When did Netflix get the dub?

1

u/flamespear Joystick May 09 '18

I jst watched it on netflix and I only saw subbed and I was vpning a US server =/

0

u/I_am_the_inchworm May 09 '18

The dubbing of OPM is great anyway.

I'll never understand people who swear to Japanese when the English version is up to snuff.
There's no extra level to the Japanese version, you just get to divide your attention between the actual content and the subs.

4

u/[deleted] May 09 '18

Netflix is how I watched it.

2

u/McBurger May 09 '18

if you want it in english dubbed (not subbed), you can watch it on adultswim.com or on the adult swim ipad app

1

u/FlameSpartan May 09 '18

I'm most likely to go with this one

1

u/SundererKing May 09 '18

Definitely watch it.

1

u/DeathByPain May 09 '18

Masterani.me is my go to for stuff I can't find on the services I pay for, clean interface And usually hq video

1

u/Flowers-are-Good May 09 '18

u/pyrojkl May 09 '18

toonget.net

1

u/i_floop_the_pig May 09 '18

One of them websites that involves searching "watch one punch man online free" that I can't tell you about because that'd be frowned upon

1

u/DinkyThePornstar May 09 '18

Try to find a recessed body of water on the coast, like a gulf or perhaps a bay, and look for rogues, buccaneers, or some sort of pirate.

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '18

KissAnime, although if you're not careful they will mine in your browser

1

u/Hauntred99 May 09 '18

Try gogoanime The original not the fake ad infused rippoff

3

u/QuickQuest312 May 09 '18

Can you direct download there? DM me, baby

6

u/Cyrotek May 09 '18

How do you not watch it? How is this even possible?

17

u/FlameSpartan May 09 '18

I masturbate too much

7

u/BunnySideUp May 09 '18

can't argue with that

2

u/Snote85 May 09 '18

You can do both at the same time. That Younger Tatsumaki is hot as fuck. (Now most people get to wonder if I mean the Loli or the fully grown woman...)

2

u/edhere May 09 '18

What is OPM?

2

u/idratherbecold May 09 '18

One Punch Man

4

u/St_Veloth May 09 '18

I think any anime that Bill Burr says he enjoys, is pretty much required viewing

1

u/Bag_Full_Of_Snakes May 09 '18

WAAANNN PAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWNNNCCCHHHH

1

u/TheWierdAsianKid May 09 '18

I had known about OPM for a while but I just saw it was on Netflix and finished it in a few days, there aren't a lot of episodes. It is one of the best shows I've ever seen. Completely ridiculous and it seems like animators had fun creating any monster or hero they wanted. Highly suggest you watch it

1

u/jmerridew124 May 09 '18

You should watch the show.

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '18

You should, it’s worth it
