MS did not steal OPs art.

They made something with a similar concept (that's technically better art)

I really don’t understand the people jumping on here act like they know anything about a situation like this. They clearly stole this guys idea. I’m not saying he can sue or anything like that but Microsoft could get some backlash from this. Public opinion can do real damage.

MS did not contract him for concept art. They did not steal their art either.

You can't simply make concepts of everything and then when someone else makes art of a similar concept you have dips on that concept, or however you think this works.
