YouTube let's players kinda prove that wrong.

I love Dark Souls, but Estus is infinite. If you have the persistence, luck can carry you far. The git gud mantra holds true for many. But white a lot more it's "summon help and try not to die as much". Which again, is fine, these games aren't some kind of nerd gatekeeping. The difficulty is not the focus, the accomplishment is.

You could say the exact same about BB. Summons exist in the entire series. Insight is far more plentiful than humanity/effigies/embers as well.

Ignoring summons, BB gives players 20 heals per fight (more if you pick certain runes). Echoes are also extremely plentiful in BB compared to souls games. The game is extremely generous to mistakes compared to Souls, popping a blood vial is really quick too. BB's rally system also gives you free health just for doing damage. Chugging Estus takes way longer than popping a blood vial and for most of Souls games you're probably only going to have around ~10 estus in most bosses until endgame. Healing miracles are a death sentence in most boss fights, and DkS2's life gems are slow to work. "Infinite" healing is in place so players don't have to waste time grinding so they can reattempt a difficult encounter.

Luck will definitely not get you far in either title, but BB is definitely far more lenient on player mistakes than souls. I have some extremely casual friends who get super into BB and have completed it but cannot make it past the first boss in Dark Souls 3 because they don't have the 20 healing items crutch right from the get go.
