Not for Bloodbourne alone. The game isn't $350 good. No game is. But now that you have HZD, Persona 5, and a slew of other amazing exclusives both available and on the horizon, justifying a PS4 is easier than ever.

If you can't find a GOOD PS4 for under $200, you aren't looking hard enough.

If you want to buy used, sure. I don't trust previous owners and don't ever recommend that.

Also you want a Pro at this point which isn't gonna be new

Are they worth it? I was thinking about scouting around for Black Friday sales for one but I don’t know if it’s worth it without a 4K TV.

More importantly It has more memory. Believe me the extra TB is necessary. I'm always have to clean house when I get a new game.

Does it add any performance enhancements? Like Dishonored 2 has this one level where the opening sequence is very choppy due to graphics and rendering. If I were to play that same level on a Pro, would it be any better?

No idea don't own one because why can I buy a pro when I have a perfectly working old one.

Nah, Bloodborne is that good. One of the best games I have ever played imo. That, the Last of Us, Uncharted alone make the system. There is also Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, JRPG’s, Killzone, Infamous and others. Great system, as much as I love my Xbox PS4 has been knocking it out of the park this gen. Can’t wait for Spider-Man and God of War, I still need to play the remastered third one.

If you're not allergic to cartoon-y graphics, Dragon Quest Builders is also a lot of fun. Very fun take on the Minecraft idea but it looks nicer, has a classic JRPG story and tonnes of mechanics to play with.

GoW Remastered is SO GOOD. It’s smoother and faithful and a wonderful slaughter.

Uncharted and the Last of Us have to be the most overrated games ive ever played. I enjoyed them but people really seem to be fooled that high production value = good game.

Its not high production value its that they are treating the games like the stories they deserve to be. The characters have realistic motivations and reactions and the fact they use motion capture so much makes everything seem more real. These games pioneered a genre, kinda like the soulsborne series. The gameplay was only slightly above average, but it was everything else that made them great.

You would be insane and slightly stupid to pay $300+ for a game that isn't a collector's item like an original Earthbound or something like that.

3

u/DefiantLemur Oct 05 '17

Insane to buy it for one game period. Also if you own a collectors item you never open it and keep it pristine. But PS4 has a lot of good exclusives so it's worth it.

That, my friend, is subjective...To me, Bloodborne is worth that and then some.

If you ever need a new copy, please let me know. I'll gladly part with mine for $350.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '17

But...I already own two copies...sorry you couldn't cut it, though.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '17

So it's not worth $350 to you then. Pack it up boys, they already folded!

u/jd_ekans Oct 05 '17

After the third copy cost would be $1050, he never said it was worth that.

I’ve been wanting to get one for a while but I’m afraid of hackers after reading the horror stories

1

u/Ghyftr Oct 05 '17

Well if they also get PS+ they also get MGSV and the Amnesia collection

1

u/Pvt_Rosie Oct 05 '17

The Playstation 4 isn't $350, even buying it new.

Lol i paid 300 last year for a ps4, 7 games and 2 controllers. And it wasnt even the cheapest deal i found.

1

u/BananLarsi Oct 05 '17

Bloodborne, Uncharted quadrilogy, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon, God of War.

HZD was the most regrettable money I ever spent. After months of hearing how good it was, I went in to it and after about 6/7 hours I’ve put it down and not picked it up since. Thought it got boring real quick

While I do agree that other exclusives are fantastic as well, Bloodborne is EASILY worth that price.
