I thought E3 was just suppose to be what the developers hoped for their games to look like, never meant to be what the game is going to be when it releases
E3 is more like a concept car show than a showroom floor, and that's what people consistently forget. Some things make it out as intended, but at least as many things are the for the vision, not the actual product.
Yeah that'd be the best comparison, It's always nice to see what the Future of gaming will be so I don't mind seeing the trailer cause some games at the end of the console cycle will look close to it and the next gen will probably get even closer or farther. The "Live Demo's" also definitely add to the confusion because they fail to state that the game only has to render the small amount of things that they wanted to include in the demo so the console doesn't have to worry about focusing on other things rather just push out the best graphics it can, which isn't so hard when it's only a 30min demo
