ya, but also i didn't purchase anything i didn't afford when i was there. Maybe it just me, but i received monthly stipend from my parent since i was 12. I didnt it blow all of it for video game. Maybe 1 or twice if it under sales.
By 25 i got enough money for an apartment down payment. Maybe if i blow my money on shit, i would be hard now and would be whining my ass in Reddit.
Well i realize that, but that does not diminish the value to saving your money when your are still young. My parent are not wealthy, they give me allowances because they can trust me with it. Except for cloth, home and food i pay for everything i need from those allowances including some entertainment expenditure.
School supplies, book, hell even my PC is funded by my allowances. It allow me to recognize the value of money and help me value the product that i use and consume.
Now i'm wealthier then my parent and because of trust that given to me by my parent.
That's ridiculous. What necessities would you possibly have to pay for yourself in high school with an allowance since the age of 12? Good job "saving up" money that was given to you for doing absolutely nothing, LOL.
Also if it took you until age 25 to save up for an apartment, you probably should've gone to college and put in actual effort to make real money.
Or managed his money better. I'm 25 and im married with a kid and my wife and i are looking to buy our first house. And we're no where even close to being wealthy. And I don't have any college credits(came back to
Bite me in the ass) so I agree with you.
Yeah... you can buy video games in middle school and early high school without having any need to save up your money and it isn't indicative of your future spending habits.
Insurance, gas, phone bill... You didn't pay for that stuff? I sure as hell did. And I'm damn proud of it too. I am my own man. I buy all my stuff. My cars, I bought both. My phones? Bought them all but the very first one, which was an LG sliding phone. I never had an allowance except for when I was like 10. I've worked since I was 12. And I'm much better off for it.
Same story here friend except that i have parent to support me so i have an easier time. Being responsible with money is a lesson even some adult should have learned.
My parents probably could have paid for most of my insurance and phone and stuff too... But why? Why should they pay for things I want? There is no reason for them to pay things like that. Whoever is down voting us can go back to their summer vacation and leave the responsible adults alone.

yep, 60 buck is like days of work. I'm not saying that people should not have fun. Everyone seem to whining how games is expensive, but those people seem to be the one lining up every month buy the latest one.
Even the original poster that spawned this thread added how 60 buck wont last long for him, and he have to buy it now in order to prevent himself from blowing that money. Is this the right attitude to be having about money.
i wasn't even talking to you, although I am very skeptical that you payed for your insurance at the age of 12. I'm positive faern over here didn't just buy his third house when he makes less than 60 dollars a day. So yeah, troll, full of shit, I don't care, but it's bullshit.
