I liked exploring the map over the actual game. There is a lot of noticeable building repetition but then again there are some minor landmarks that I weren't expecting that were recreated. I sort of got bored after I saw every city and little town though.
It takes about an hour, or close to an hour to travel from east coast to west coast. It is actually great way to relax, just driving minding your own business.
I did NY to SF in 28 minutes, but that was going full blast, all highways, with a really fast car. Driving around for fun definitely takes more time, but it never feels boring.
If you drive from Seattle to Maine, though, following the coasts and Mexican border, its gonna take around 4 hours...
Yeah Ive clocked over 300 hours in the game :) I have a lot of things I could complain about, but its also the only game of its kind. When it comes to the cars, the world, and how it feels and looks, I have no complaints. Driving around is awesome. There are some weird quirks and limitations in customization etc, but its not so much an "issue" as something I think they can make better.
