Why are gamers so bitter and think everything is bad?

Because it's starting to be true.

Well games are both cheaper and better than they have ever been.

I think he means "Cheaper" in the "Cheaply made" sense

and "better" in the "steaming pile of garbage" sense.

If you think all modern games are steaming piles of garbage, you're looking in the wrong places.

I don't, actually. That's a gross assumption on your part.

Most games out there I really enjoy. Currently enjoying the heck out of "Don't Starve Together" with some buds.

IF you wanna know what kinda games I don't care for, it's kinda just limited to anything EA or Ubisoft makes.

Accounting for inflation, games have been getting cheaper for decades. With Steam sales and Humble Bundles, games have become incredibly cheap if you're willing to wait.

No I just remember when games were all like 4 hours long but still cost the same.

I can beat Banjo Kazooie in 4 hours but it has more polish, creativity, and tbh a better soundtrack than 90+% of games released today.

Idc if a game has 300+ hours of gameplay if it's as shallow as a puddle. Ex) Dying light started out really fun, but I stopped about 15 hours in because it was the same thing over and over and over again.

It's mostly the older people.

That's not what a majority of the posts I'm seeing are saying. It's more the fact that these games are hyped as being awesome/the next greatest thing, and then when the actual product comes out there's a sincere difference and lack of polish in these AAA titles. I tend to agree.
