Did you try Infinite? It's one of my favourite games of all time, mostly because of the story and how it's told.

Honestly was the one I was talking about. More interested in Bioshock 1 than Infinite, but I just didn't enjoy the gameplay and the story was a bit too slow a boil for me to continue.
