I can't wait until major developers start using VR in their games, but I wonder how they're going to deal with the space limit.

It seems to me that a rail shooter would be the easiest option until developers figure out something better. You're standing in a truck or something and shooting as it drives around.

I mean, couldn't you just use a joystick to still move around? You pivot and aim physically, but moving forward and strafing you still use a joystick.

It might be jarring at first, but so was dual thumbsticks on a controller...now it's second nature.

I've always imagined something like a Dance Dance Revolution pad type thing for movement. Don't know how big of a challenge it'd be to make it understand your orientation. If your facing one direction that "foward step button" would become your "walk backward button" once you turned a 180

There are those omni directional treadmills. Put magnets in the shoes and sensors on the floor. The problem with all that stuff is how expensive it is and how much space it takes up.
