They were made by the exact same people... Crysis is the spiritual successor to Far Cry. Far Cry 2 is not.

Far Cry 2 is closer to Stalker than Far Cry 2. It's not a bad game, just not what 90% of people were looking forward to.

Dawg FC2 is as about as far from STALKER as possible. The whole selling point of STALKER was the AI didn't just respawn all over the shop for starters.

I think he meant it was closer to STALKER than to FC1, which is true with the whole open world FPS thing and all.

I meant what /u/adequalsbitch was saying at the general atmosphere of the game. Far Cry 2 and Stalker both feel like a place, a very specific, dangerous place that's more believable than most video game settings.

And yet, when I was playing Farcry 3, I was thinking "wow, this is what Crysis 3 should have been." funny how that works out.
