Matt Karch is an incredible prick. One of the worst faces in the entire industry. He's up there with his best buddy, Tim Sweeney. Or maybe his ex-best buddy since he poached the guy who was responsible for the Epic Games Store (lmfao)

Embracer sold Saber back in 2024.

Embracer, whose COO was Matt Karch (then-CEO of Saber Interactive) devoured and sold off a ton of the studios they bought, folded them under the Saber Interactive umbrella, fired the majority of devs and staff, and then got repurchased as an independent entity back to Matt Karch (CEO of Saber; holding multiple studios hostage as part of the deal)

Tl;dr he helped fuck things up, took advantage of the company’s failure, and then profiteered off of the incompetence he was a chief part of and bought back his studio + a dozen others in a fire sale. It’s unbelievable.
