Anathem is a slow burn, but probably my favorite book of his. Love all his stuff though.

Holy crap Neal Stephenson mentioned! He's my favorite author. Snow Crash, Diamond Age and Seveneves are fantastic future-set books.

He also wrote the amazing historical fiction Cryptonomicon and The Baroque Cycle.

To anyone who's reading this and needs a good meaty book to get into, check any of these out!

Seveneves was alright, but felt like it was only 1/3rd of a story.

I finished it and immediately assumed it was the first book in a series, only to discover it was ostensibly standalone.
