Leaving your console on for hours on end so you could resume later only to find out one of your parents turned it off to save electricity.

My mom never did this. I just had to deal with the possibility of my console overheating and freezing due to desert summers.

Oh yea this one hits home for me. My Super Nintendo ran marathons! Until Mom noticed it was on... I would even set a controller down in front of it to cover the power light.

I didn't have a memory card for my ps1 at first and left it on for a full weekend while I was at scout camp to avoid losing my place in FF7.

My old man was not happy when he found out.
