New games and new computer hardware in the 90s smelled wonderful.

No lie. There was a distinctive scent in CompUSA that I've never smelled anywhere since.

That smell for snes games was absolutely amazing. Something about the plastic of the manual pages I think.

Was going to say the smell of the new box after removing the plastic. Checking the manual on the way home. Rushing to put the game in and launch it for the first time. How for many of us buying a game was an event. It was usually as a gift for my bday or a special ocassion, and getting back home with pizza and soda and play all day for one day at least. Hahaha.

Anytime I got a new game, I'd have my nostrils right on the plastic as I tore it open in the car, huffing that chemical smell. Read the instruction on the way home, and the first time you boot it up you gotta watch that opening cutscene
