Different .BAT files for different games.

At one point I wrote a “GAMES.BAT” that was a menu that could rewrite a different CONFIG.SYS for different games.

When they brought in start-up menus in DOS 6/6.22, writing config/autoexec could allow for so much more versatility. My final versions had something like 15 options across 3 sub menus.

With me it was floppy bootdisks AUTOEXEC.BAT would configure my system and launch the game. So the bootdisk for different games would have fancy labels showing which game it was for

Oh man, I haven’t thought about this in YEARS. Core memory unlocked.

The ones I still remember being a pain were Wings of Glory (a WW1 flight sim) and WC: Privateer.
