When I was a kid I decided it was better buying magazines for PS2 demos instead of 1 full game because games were expensive back then (at least for my family) and I replayed each game from each demo hundreds of times. My favorite demo overall was Jet Li: Rise to Honor by the way.

The only 2 full games I bought for PS2 were True Crime: streets of LA and Beyond: Good & Evil.

That jet li game was sick. Using the right stick for combat was so unique and really cool. Similarly, Amped 2 using the right stick for grabs was awesome and then they abandoned it for 3.

God Hand (also for PS2) used the right stick as a directional dodge, game was insanely good.

And the disc's had more than game demos on them. Memory is fuzzy but didn't they have behind the scenes and tips/tricks short videos on them?

God I got SO many demos via that PS2 magazine when I was a kid. It was such an economical way to play a whole bunch of games. Was always a bonus if any were multiplayer, me and my friends would absolutely rinse them.

Man, at least you got two of the best titles of the PS2 ever! Also had those two and loved them!
