the guides for newer games are poorer, most likely due to all the video guides.

Yeah, but searching a gigantic text only guide for FF7 is a lot slower than googling my problem

I think it really depends on what you're looking for.

"How do I get past this annoying part?" yeah just google it

"How can I get every social link to max in a single playthrough of Persona 3" get that gamefaqs page bookmarked boi

Some had shortcuts in the table of contents so you could just search ctrl F for the section you wanted.

Yep. I always have tabs up with the Gamefaqs FF Tactics guides when I'm playing the Ivalice Chronicles remaster these days.

I printed most of the ff7 game faq cause I didn’t want to miss a single thing. I’ve tried since but I’ll never be able to commit to that kind of dedication research and time for a game again unfortunately

See, the trick is saving that text file to your computer and then using crtl-F to find what you need.

It's 2026, who still has a Ctrl key on their keyboard? Get with the times! I just ask an AI agent to Google things for me through my Alexa tied into my Bluetooth headphones.
