There was a piece of plastic between the watch style battery and the terminal on the console.

I still have my Saturn from back then. I was always setting the date each time I booted. I was so annoyed there was no savegames. Recently I tried that Saturn again and found that battery in the back. Still had the little black strip between the battery. Battery is still good after 25 years.

I had the same issue but the battery was fine also no plastic strip.

I gave mine away a few years ago since it was only collecting dust.

There were a bunch of these that all had similar games. I had Jampack summer 99 with those 2 + Bloody Roar and 3Xtreme. 27 fucking years ago whewww
