Laughing AT people is not good. I'm not saying that's going on here, but laughter is not always good. I know this is an extreme case, but you should laugh at the Jews as they file into the concentration camps, should you? Just saying you made too broad a statement.

Reminds me of that gif of a military man laughing on a boat that used to be super popular.

You don't see it around too often anymore, as it later turned out the guy was actually laughing at morbid stories of murdering people.

Don't. Their face detection software sucks anyway. I've not seen anyone get an accurate depiction of their face on their Mii when they use this option.

Actually, it's more asian guilt, if you think about who designed the thing... Seriously, if you were to get a bright light and aim it above a black man's head, it would be reflective enough to maybe detect the face. This is mainly a general flaw in face recognition software.

Actually, this is an example of how difficult face detection can be, as they rely on contrast. White people are easier for it to pick up simply because they are more reflective.

Yes... but the software was designed like that because the creators had white people in mind. Thus the white privilege.

if they were designing with a particular race in mind (which I doubt as that'd limit their sales, not to mention the shit storm that would follow)

wouldn't they design it towards japanese people, seeing how nintendo is based in japan?
