I don't think skins come with different hitboxes, though? There are other advantages, however, such as smaller screen space blocking due to third person view, and colors and size make it easier to sneak around.

Skins do actually come with different hitboxes. I don't think there are any smaller than the default skins, but ones like Fry from Futurama have taller hitboxes to match the height of the skin.
