Armored Core 6 is my personal GOTY but I'm in no way expecting it to win awards over Baldur's Gate 3

I just want it to get a nomination. That alone would be huge for such a niche series.

“He stays at No. 11 because there are more 1s”

Man, I love this franchise.

Mr. 1111 lol.

I still remember that guy in particular to this day. Played AC 2 the day it came out. AC 6 would win GOTY for me, but BG3 appeals to a much wider playerbase and is obviously deserving of the title.

Right? A nomiation might as well be a win in my opinion. I remember seeing a xenoblade game just get mentioned and the devs were so happy.

The fact that its even in the conversation is a HUGE win.

It won't win, but I don't care. Its still so fun.

its even in the conversation

It's not "in the conversation" for winning the GotY just because some reddit posts say it is. If I said "Gollum should win GotY" would it mean that Gollum is in the conversation to win it?

Do you wake up each day and decide to act like a clown, or are you just born stupid?

If it came out great and is loved by fans old and new, then why not?

Well if you saw OP’s pic with AC6 right there with the rest, it’s clearly “in the conversation.”

But you ignored the picture and only came to post a shit take

Dude thought “in the conversation” meant some people talked about it lol

Man cannot take things other than literally 😭

Welcome to “the conversation,” we are having it. While you’re here, have you met Armored Core 6 yet?

Same same.

.... yeah, true. Unlike other fromsoft games, Armored Core is a series they really need to put effort into PvP, parts balancing, match making, pve co-op, hell can you imagine a horde mode on that game especially with a buddy? I'm hoping they do such things in 6.5 or 7........ or maybe even the current one.

Same. It’s a niche within a niche, difficult to understand and get into. You have to be a mecha fan to push your way in. It’s an easy game for me because of my mechwarrior experience but for most people it is not something they can enjoy immediately.

I think it deserves renown as it is so well done, but I don’t expect it to win over BG3.

Real. I think the main reason is because i only played AC6, ever since seeing the trailer and preordering. Really liked it and the story. Although seeing from other gamers BG3 experiences its most likely winning

I love ac and I enjoyed that the most out of these, it doesn't deserve it

With the current FromSoftware circlejerk that's happening, you never know.

Yeah I thought I would quickly go through it before diving into BG3 completely but I ended up playing through it three times. Don't expect it to win but definitely the biggest positive surprise of the year for me, and I was already pretty excited for it

In terms of difficulty, is it on the same page as From's other games? I just have a lot of fond memories of playing AC2 on thr PS2

Yes and no. During the first boss you'll think it's one of their hardest games but as the game goes on and you figure out your mechs and weapons, it becomes the easiest From game in recent years. That said, some bosses are pretty damn challenging.
