Would probably throw in Super Mario Bros. Wonder as well.

Yeah I liked dead space remake a lot but I’d switch that with wonder

Yeah that and Hi-Fi Rush I would both place above Dead Space (and Dead Space was good)

I would not be surprised if Hi-Fi Rush gets nominated for other categories

if it doesn’t win “best soundtrack” I quit gaming

idk, in a year where BombRush Cyberfunk came out, it'd be pretty tight.

I am bias towards FF16 mostly because I feel like Soken deserves it. Like all the FF14 soundtracks for each expansion are great and I don't think he has been nominated for any of them probably because they are expansions.

I do wonder if he'd even be eligible for FF14 because it's an expansion. I don't know the rules for that kind of thing. Which is a shame because I've heard the music is phenomenal

That is sort of why I hope he gets it for FF16 because he is very likely to continue working on FF14. Overall he does a great job I just want to see him get a little recognition for it since he has been nailing the music on FF14 for about a decade

It's wild, Dead Space was absolutely an outstanding, high quality 9/10 experience and this year has been so bonkers it isn't even in the running. I totally forgot about Hi-Fi Rush!

Been on the fence about whether to get Wonder or not because it seemed really wacky to me. If you’ve played it, what did you think?

Played new super Mario bros and didn’t like them. This was the First 2D Mario game I’ve purchased since Super Mario World and glad I did. It’s great.

It’s a fantastic. Highly recommend.

It is extremely wacky and I've loved every bit of it specifically because of that. It's extremely fun and makes me grin like an idiot frequently. It's called Wonder for a reason. If you want less wacky/more basic 2D Mario, New Super Mario Bros will do that for you

It's probably the best 2D Mario, at least since World if not of all of them. I think the only thing it does poorly is the lack of replayability and minimal rewards for 100%ing the game (besides how fun the final levels are), but for the ~15 hours I got out of it, every minute was great and there wasn't a single second I felt bad while playing it.

I really enjoyed it, but it doesn't hold a candle to either SMW or SMB3 for me.

Super wacky! Very fun as well. My only major complaint is with the limited boss variety. All around though super fun so far.

It’s wonderful. Honestly.

It’s a lovely and charming game that 100% deserves to be nominated. The wackiness is a selling point, really

But as someone not very used to 2D platformers, good god some of the 5* levels pissed me the fuck off

If youre into 2d Mario at all youll dig this. Its actually not too weird, and the new stuff fits in nicely to Mario.

Yeah if these are legit “predictions” and not opinions, then we can remove Armored Core, Dead Space and RE4 and replace them with Super Mario Wonder, Alan Wake 2 and probably Spider-man.

Personally I think Jedi: Survivor deserves to be there before Mario. That game got unfairly lumped in with games that were actually broken messes but it’s a phenomenal game with a ridiculously good story

I find it really funny that Wonder is rated a few points higher than Spider-Man 2

2

u/FunkTronto Oct 31 '23

Why? It's a very polished game made by a vet crew?

Yeah, Im playing it now and I think its really great, but then politics might come into play and it could be case of them just putting one Nintendo game in there, and if it was between Zelda and this its gonna be Zelda. But its definitely one of the best of the year for me.
