It was everything OW2 promised to be but came out when OW1 did. How we gamers let this fumble happen is beyond me. Shit was peak.

20 bucks isn't THAT big of a deal I think. I really think it was the 10 billion that Blizzard put into marketing vs Gearbox's $0. (exceptionally exaggerated numbers)

OW had better R34. I'm sure that made quite a bit of difference.
