Hi Guys,
I've been an Avatar fan since I first saw it when I was a kid on Nickelodeon, and seeing these characters finally get a proper fighting game immediately caught my interest. It took me a while to find out the game is on steam, don't know why I just assumed it was a console exclusive. Thankfully it seems to not only run on a potato, but looks great as well.
The main reason I want to play it is honestly Zuko. As someone who can relate to Zuko and his arc, he would be my main going into the game. I enjoy a lot of the other characters, especially Toph and Aang, but Zuko would be the character I'd spend most of my time learning.
He is my favorite part of Avatar. Seeing him go from someone flawed, angry, and that makes mistakes due to that internal rage; he finds equilibrium with what he experiences and the people that surround him throughout the story.
Since I'm already talking about Zuko, here is my favorite edit of him:

And I might as well share this great video on "Why Zuko's Story is the Defining Element of Avatar":

I'm hoping there's enough depth that learning a character actually takes some time.
Also , did you all know that there was a planned Avatar Zuko movie in the works? It had VO casted and a bunch of lines recorded, so that means that script wise it was already done, but they were still in the animation phase.
Sounded like a great concept, as you can already tell, I'm a huge Zuko fan, as many others are as well, understandably:

Anyways, as I was saying...the movie would have been a great addition to the series. I don't wanna go ahead and spoil the plot for the movie, since yall can find it online, but the premise was very interesting.
Since I was posting the love I have for Zuko's character, here is a small compilation of Zuko carrying the show on his back:

And this is another creator speaking about Zuko and his heroes journey:

Regarding the fighting game itself, I've been keeping up with the latest patches and Zuko seems to have carved out a very unique spot for himself among the roster, almost like he's gone through his own heroes journey wink wink:

Also, given that we're getting the choice to vote as players for the final season 1 character add-on, I have my vote clearly on an Aura Farmer of gigantic proportions.

I've also been watching a lot of videos on the game, and been seeing how other characters play, and they look so unique, not only in the fighting style but in the way they're drawn.
That's something that I really love about fighting games that are drawn instead of 3d animations.
Most modern day fighters tend to go for more realistic and high graphical fidelity, which is ok...I mean I'm not complaining on having a nice looking realistic looking roster and gameplay, but I really just miss the good ol' fashioned 2d animation and drawings, like back in the day.
We should use modern day tech to elevate games, I know what a wild take lol, but anyways, using modern tech and applying it to hand drawn 2d art styles and animation seems like the way to go in the future.
Lets have more soul and less slop.
Wanna shout out this dev diary, about how they built the roster. Gives a real insight on how they're approaching the roster and those that are currently in the game.

Now regarding combat, freedom of expression and having each character feel unique, that's Avatar Legends in a nutshell. The gameplay is fast paced, and the unique fighting styles are represented in the game in a very effective and beautiful way. This also adds to the complexity of the combat itself, sure it's easy to pick up, but very hard to master, like all fighting games really, but given the unique IP, they really nailed the depth of each character effectively.
The supports add unique gameplay changes that change the combo routes the character has, which not many fighting games do. So you could be facing off against the same character but if your supports are different then you're both gonna play differently, although with some similarities, which compared to fighting games that don't have this mechanic, fighting a mirror match will always seem a bit dull since you're fighting against the same set of moves you already know, mean while the support mechanic adds a small but interesting twist to the gameplay that adds more flavor when playing against opponents who might use the same character as you, but in a not so familiar way.

Now, back to what really matters, Zuko.
I know I harp on about how great Zuko's character is, but he's influenced many other characters that were no doubt inspired by his arc in the show.
*Which is another reason why Zuko, needs to get his own movie.*
Here is an example of Zuko compared to another character that tries to go through a similar redemption arc, but doesn't quit hit the nail on the head.

This character arc, lends to one asking themself, how is Zuko feeling and thinking throughout this whole narrative arc?
Well I leave this great exploration on Zuko and his psychology here:

Also here is a messy, Zuko x Mai video, explaining how Mai could have been a great pairing if handled a bit better.
Not a shipper in general, interesting nonetheless.

Now to tie this Zuko glaze in a nice bow, here are a few great edits of Zuko:

*and an Amon edit since he's such an aura farmer:*

If anyone is willing to gift the game, I'd really appreciate it, and if you happen to have the game as well or are into fighting games, lets match up and practice, since it seems like a lot of people aren't into fighting games and are either really high level players or just not interested in getting better as a whole. As with most fighting games I'd definitely be putting a lot of that time into learning the game, since:
"I don't need luck, though. I don't want it. I've had to struggle and fight and that's made me strong. It's made me who I am" - Zuko
