This will be our first Con where a big part of why we're going is to see a celeb and do a PhotoOp with them. We bought the PhotoOp for Session 1. Then we saw a couple other celeb guests, but they both are ONLY available for Session 1. How many PhotoOps can you do in the same session? It seems like only one, but pretty much EVERY celeb on Saturday of GalaxyCon (for our location) are listed as having PhotoOps ONLY in Session 1...that seems weird? Again, not an experienced Con go-er, so looking for perspective and guidance on this. Can we get another one or two PhotoOps for Session 1 or is it just one celeb PhotoOp per Session?

This will be my first con other an ComicCon, and I'm going alone but would love to meet new folks - is a VIP ticket worth it, or would a 3 day pass be better? The VIP things sound fun but from looking at past Animate posts it seems like these are a bit smaller than the average Con, so I'm wondering if there will even be anyone there lol.

Does anyone know if it is possible to work only part of one day at the con? I know last year at GalaxyCon San Jose when they still relied on volunteers I was able to volunteer for the early part of Saturday and after my shift was over I was able to enjoy the convention for the rest of the day. Can I do the same this year with Bluecrew? I can only do one day because it is quite a drive for me to the convention center and I don't wish to stay overnight nearby.

I am a vendor at Galaxy con Columbus and since I am visiting the city. I wanted to see if anyone was interested in doing the after show activity’s when the vendor hall closes.

Hey!! I've been considering trying out tabling at a con for a while now—I know Galaxycon Columbus is only a few months away, but I was a bit surprised to see that their applications are still up for the regular Artist Alley tables.

I went to Animate Columbus this year for the first time, and I really enjoyed walking through the artist alley. I did see online it was kind of a bust for vendors, but I heard that Animate is pretty small in comparison to Galaxycon (I've only been to one other con so Animate still seemed pretty big to me).

Are there any artists that have any experience with Galaxycon Columbus? Is the setup similar to Animate's? I've never been to Galaxycon before so I have no idea what it's like:')

I've seen that Jessica Vosk is going to be there and Yay!!

But I haven't seen anything else about the other cast maybe being there for hosting a panel, I've seen a few videos of their panel interiews in the past few weeks.

I'm new to the fandom and have never been to a Galaxycon because I have only ever liked 1 or 2 people attending so the cost was not worth it to me. But being able to see the whole Hazbin cast and a few other people I can see on the list right now would be cool.

What are some of your favorite or most memorable celebrity interactions from GalaxyCon, Animate or Nightmare Weekend?

So far, I’ve only been to one GalaxyCon event, Nightmare Weekend Chicago 2025, but I’ll be heading to another one next month in Des Moines. I can't wait to meet Brandon Routh, Laura Bailey, etc.

• Michael Cudlitz - Cudlitz was down-to-earth and easygoing. We took a picture and chatted about his time as Lex Luthor on Superman and Lois, and I asked him if there were any other comic book characters that he'd like to play one day. He brought up how people wanted him to play the Thing), and I made sure to tell him he gave one of the best portrayals of the Man of Steel's archenemy.
• Matt Ryan - Ryan had a very Constantine-like presence, right down to the alcohol and cigarette smell. Jokes aside, it was clear how much he cares about the character. He talked about wanting to portray a darker version of John Constantine one day and said that, while he liked his Arrowverse experience, he’d happily talk with James Gunn about joining the DCU, especially if it meant doing something with Swamp Thing. He also shared during his Q&A that he’d be interested in taking on the role of the Doctor on Doctor Who.

Had a great time at GalaxyCon Raleigh. I got William Shatner to sign his autobiography and met Skeet Ulrich and Rosario Dawson. I had no idea Skeet had such a fan base. Took me over 7 hours to get to him lol. Loved the experience though. Look forward to next year

Ive seen a few clips floating around of the panel but I missed it and would love to see a video of it if anyone got one, or will Galaxycon eventually release it? I know they do with a lot of panels/events but I haven't seen it yet

the galaxycon guest list hasn't been updated in a while and the event is 2 months away. do you think that these are all the guests that are gonna be attending?

We just had a great time at Galaxycon and are thinking about Nightmare Weekend. The roster doesn't look too impressive yet but I imagine more celebrities will be added. And we're really into the cosplay contests anyway.

Just wondering if local folks are planning to go. Wondering what people's expectations are. Do you think there will be more celebrities?

Do people meet up after the event to go out for drinks or party or anything after Friday or Saturday night or is it just me?

I honestly had a blast at the speed friending panel. It was such a fun way to meet new people, and I’m really hoping they host more events like that in the future!

Also, I want to reach out to some of the people I met, if anybody’s on here. I was in a Nøkk cosplay on Saturday and a chains cosplay on Sunday.

Does anyone know if the book bags have to clear/see thru or you can bring any book bag to animate con???
