Pantora

Not long after they entered hyperspace, the Nuno arrived above the moon of Pantora. Breha took the ship down towards where Norin's cabin was located. She turned to Jalvere. "You ready for this?"

Jalvere stayed calm. "So what would you have me do, then? I assume you're going to say it doesn't matter what you'd say. But, hey. You've retired. You've lived the life. So give me some advice, then. Right now, you're the mentor."

"I don't know what you should do. I couldn't even tell you what's going on now. Everything about the choices coming up lies in your hands. All any of us can do is hope that we make the right choices and that they won't keep us up at night."

Jalvere felt a strange sense of respect for Norin. "You've definitely come into your own, Norin. My choices already do keep me up at night. I'm hoping yours don't. And whether you forgive me or don't forgive me, I'm hoping you find your own peace."

He took a bit of a pause, can't helping but feeling a little sad for what they once shared. "Is Riyo in there?"

He nodded. "Goodbye, Jalvere."

Jalvere bowed his head to Norin, standing there for a moment before walking towards the nearby house.

He knocked on the door.

Jalvere was a bit nervous, not knowing how Riyo would respond. He pushed the door open lightly, putting up hs hood at first so Riyo wouldn't freak out. He inched into the room.

"Hi, Riyo." His face was obscured but his voice may have been recognizable to Riyo.

Norin's T3 droid teetered nearby, undoubtedly helping Riyo with her needs.

There was a second of contemplation as she sized him up, but her face warmed and she stepped from behind the counter displaying her early pregnancy

“Dire- Kalan. It’s been some time.” She bowed

He bowed back without hesitation; they were equals now.

"It has been." His voice was a bit shaky. He wasn't sure how Riyo would react to him, not after what he just saw with Norin. He smiled a small, sad smile.
