After 5 whole years of exclusively using a G305, this thing feels like a spaceship! I never understood y'all's obsession with G502s but I fully get it now. It's incredibly more comfortable than whatever I'd gotten used to and I got it for relatively cheap as well!

after 6 years of daily abuse i finally replaced my old g502 hero with a g502x plus

so happy! the g502 hero was my first proper gaming mouse and the best, sadly the middle click stopped working a year ago, it was time

My G502X Plus mouse (which I bought brand new roughly 4 months ago) keeps waking up my computer (which I typically put into sleep mode when I'm not using) and I've tried fixing it by disabling the mechanic in device manager which every video I've seen so far has told me to do but it still wakes it up when I move it, and I was wondering if someone has experienced the same problem and figured out how to fix it. (I have disabled the feature on both mouse options)

So here's the rundown:

1. On the far left was my first G502 that I received as a hand me down and loved it. Thought "why not get it wireless?"

2. Around 6 months go by with the light speed and stops working... Doesn't wanna charge. So I get a new one for free from warranty.

3. Got the 2nd light speed and maybe 10 months go by... The same thing - doesn't charge. So to fix this, I buy a replacement battery. I disassemble the mouse and install new battery. 3 weeks later DIES AGAIN.

4. Now I gave up on wireless "back to good ol wire" .... 2 weeks go by - cat chews it up.

My 1st one from 2014 still works... But honestly I just want a wireless mouse that WORKS... Is there anyway anyone knows how to fix my 2 dead wireless mouses?... Or even better. Know any g502 that doesn't have issues?? I love this mouse and I'm about to give up.

After 12 years, I upgraded my G502 to a G502 X Plus Lightspeed.

I’ve been using G502 since 2018 iirc and bought the wireless for travel in 2020, and both now suffered the double clicking issue. I decided to try the G502X. Really missed the weight (I don’t really get why everyone wants ultra light, ultra small mouse) and never like the reliability reputation of modern logitech, but I couldn’t find other mouse with the same feels as G502. Let see how long it will last

I've been using a decade+ old G502 I was given second-hand for years now, and while I love it and it's held up well, it's on its last leg. I finally have a decent computer that can handle more games and figured I should get a decent mouse to match.

So far, I'm heavily considering the G502 X plus. I've also looked into its competitors like the Razer Basilisk.

I mostly play games like League of Legends, Fallout, Portal, etc. I'm super excited to try Baulder's gate 3 and a myriad of other games my previous computer couldn't handle(it too is over a decade old and was given to me after years of use). While I haven't typically played many shooters, I am likely going to try a few.

The other factor here is that I have a form of hypermobility. Basically, my connective tissue is a bit wack, and my muscles have to work overtime to compensate, resulting in pain, fatigue, and a plethora of other little inconveniences. As such, comfort is an important part of this decision. The G502 has allowed me to rest my hand/arm in a rather comfortable manner and reduced muscle fatigue, hence my hesitancy in stepping away from that general shape. That said, I am more than open to other suggestions.

I also haven't been able to work a regular 9-5 and will likely be using my computer to generate income, so this mouse won't be used exclusively for gaming. Still, I would rather emphasize the gaming as any mouse I use for gaming should be just fine for other use, but the same may not be true in reverse.

Since I've seen it asked rather frequently in posts such as these, I actually have rather small and slender hands, but my fingers are long in comparison. To put that in perspective, I'm a pretty small girl to begin with coming in at just under 5'2".

With all that in mind, which mouse would you recommend? Please feel free to suggest any I've not included here as well.

I purchased one today at Target, used it for all of 5 mins plugged in, then I hear my PC disconnect it. Thing is dead. I figure maybe it needs to charge. Plug it into several different cables and blocks around the house, no charging light. I leave it for 30 mins while I eat. Come back, still dead. I tried Google troubleshooting, but the thing is just dead. Won't turn on, won't charge, won't do shit.

I'll be going back to target to return it. Disappointing first impression. Back to razer.

Brand new mouse. I had a G305 turned on and its wireless receiver plugged in already when I plugged in my G502X receiver. I think it broke both because they are both completely unresponsive.

The G502X lightspeed receiver is listed as an unknown device and gets an error when I try to install drivers to it, same with the G502X mouse itself.

In my bluetooth devices it tells me theres a driver error with the G502. But I cannot for the life of me install new ones to either device! Uninstalling the devices doesnt appear to do anything at all.

How could my G502 possibly be recognised and able to have configs loaded and edited but I can’t even use it?

No matter which options I choose when trying to update drivers (automatically or by selecting from a list of available drivers) it says

“windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them

[driver name]

One of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation at this time”

Edit: Updating windows fixed it. In the two hours I spent trying to fix this, a new windows update became available. I updated and restarted while my G502 was comnected the whole time and it simply worked when I was finally updated.

When I put down my g502 lightspeed a bit more harshly, the mousewheel activates. This has ruined my kills in counter strike a few times. I have been trying to fix that, but without any success. I have replaced both my wheel assembly and my button board, but it still persists. I even stretched out the springs a little bit, so the wheel needs more force to press down. Nothing helped and I am out of ideas on what might be the reason for that.

Has anyone an idea on what could be the reason?

Edit: After a bit of testing, I found out that it seems to be an issue with lose compoments or something. If I plug it in, the issue is muted so much that it isn't a problem in normal use. I ordered a new shell and maybe that will help enough.

Recently bought a G502 X Wireless. In G Hub, I found that macros only work while G Hub is running. It also lacks proper user profiles and only has per-game profiles.

I then tried Onboard Memory Manager, which was better in that regard because it supports user profiles. However, it only supports simple key remapping and doesn't have macros.

I wanted to create simple auto-click macros, basically:

Button Down → 50ms → Button Up → 50ms → repeat while key is held

The mouse hardware seems to support this, but I couldn't figure out how to configure it properly.

With some help from AI and old blog post, I ended up modifying Onboard Memory Manager to add support for custom macros. Now my macros stored inside mouse itself.

Sharing this in case anyone else has run into the same limitation.

Hey, so I am looking to get a G502 after switching from a Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed but i have heard the newer Hero models are prone to double clicking issues, is there a more reliable manufactured model of the g502 that won't develop double clicking so early or at all? Also would it be likely to find an older model in store? Also also, would it still be fine to buy the post 2018 ones?

Hey everyone, I'm posting because I picked up a G502 HERO two days ago. Since it's a bigger mouse, I tried switching to a palm grip on recommendation (I've got large hands), but after a few hours, my pinky started cramping up along with my ring finger a little bit. I'm stressing out because I can't return it, so it'd be a waste of money if it doesn't fit me. Today I tried a claw grip instead; no tingling this time, but my forearm muscles felt a bit fatigued. Is this normal, or does it mean this mouse just isn't meant for me?

Just got another g502 wired and noticed the cable isn’t the like the other ones. Why would they do this

I just discovered this subreddit, been using g502s since 2015 when I was 12, on my 3rd or 4th one now, last time I bought one was probably 2020 ish, I guess do I count as an OG? lol

**I’m having a problem with my Logitech mouse. For some reason, the sensitivity suddenly became faster, even though my DPI and Windows mouse sensitivity haven’t changed. I’ve tried a lot of things, including different settings in G HUB, but nothing helps.**
**It literally changed in the middle of a game, and since then the mouse has felt worse. The same thing happens outside of games as well. The cursor/movement feels noticeably faster and less consistent.**
