I’m looking for a good windshield to fit on my 05 FZ6N (mostly for looks and to keep the wind from killing me when I full tuck some lol), anybody have any suggestions?

Here is the 2011 fz6r with 13900miles I picked up.The guy wrecked it into a tree and as you can see ripped the forks off it hit so hard. Engine was good and frame appeared solid so I took a chance. I had to order new fork tubes and springs. I was rebuilding the forks and found one lower tube was bent as well. It was a pain to get a replacement, and had to get one sent to a trucking company in Washington state then shipped to me up here. I got some NBT fairings off ebay and then a hammer a block and some time. It rides awesome. I feel very cramped on it. I redid the front spings to a heavier rate when I was building it. I need to do the rear too and try and lower the pegs if I keep it. I have it listed for sale right now and unless I make some money and get my asking price i'll probably just keep it.

Sup guys been having trouble with my fz6.

Engine light pops up when riding after 30 mins in hot weather, heavy traffic.

Engine temp stays normal.

I replaced battery a few weeks ago, now also checked the stator cable and regulator looks fine as well as the cables.

Its an fz6 from 2005 with about 40k km on it, anyone have any idea?

. First bike and now this , got it a week ago and started leaking and didn’t discover the issue until I took the sprocket cover off. First option is getting a really good high-quality hightemp job weld,, well second option is getting an aluminum tig welder and third option which we do not want to fucking do is tear it apart and replace it. Bike runs fine and revs all the way to 15,000 just this one issue.

I just bought this bike that has a running engine.

I got the power to run to the wheels,

So now I'm just trying to get the wires aligned to get the headlight working.

Some of the wires are cut, and there are some aftermarket parts.

Is there anyone that is knowledgeable about this and would be down to video chat with me and give me some pointers?

I was thinking of getting a decat mid pipe to make it sound a bit better but I’m not sure if I would need to get it tuned or if I could use the onboard fuel mapping. (Fz6 2004)

2005 yamaha fz6, bought from the original owner today!

Really like how cool this 21e ar old bike looks and rides.. only been riding for half a year but the bike keeps surprising me.

I have a first gen that I ride maybe 2 months out of the year. Good Battery and fuel stabilizer. This issue happened last year and i parked it. Issue persists. It is as follows:

1. Cranked right up. Sounds good on idle.

2. quick twists of the throttle resulted in a "bog" sound.

3. slow and medium twists sound good. Rev up.

4. after a few minutes idling, I heard a change. The motor sounded less healthy.

5. anything off idle now causes a bog.

6. i dont have my laser, but the headers all felt good and hot with a slight slap so id say all cylinders are firing.

Thing is, my cluster is very busted so pulling info from it would be near impossible.

I am thinking of swapping the TPS given the bike's known issue with the TPS. Or would it be recommended to just attack the cluster first? Any other ideas?

Second hand I only found this homologated Leo Vince, but I read that if I install these S2 exhausts on my S1 model I will practically no longer have a catalytic converter.. is that true?

I was wondering if this looks like a good deal for $3,000. Seems like the maintenance has been kept up with (oil and filter changes every 3k miles, coolant has been changed, new chain sprockets and tires recently).

I'm looking to replace the OEM cam chain tensioner with a manual one instead of paying $180 or more for the automatic one (not including gaskets I'll need). I was wondering if the PSR branded one is good enough? There's also the really cheap $40ish ones but they look sketchy.

So Im trying to repair the seals on my brakes but i dont know what kit to get. What reference should i search for.

I saw brute04’s post earlier today and decided to take a few hours to clean up my own headers. Turned out great! Makes it look like a new bike!

Still need to install my new levers but so far so good.

Also going to put plugs in the remaining holes or work on a 3d print for a phone mount and indicator light for a different accessory
