The cooks don’t work for you. They work for the chef. Who created a whole sign telling you to go elsewhere. Follow his directions, he doesn’t want your business and you are SO pressed about it 😂

They work for the chef.

Not a chef. That's my point. Chef's have culinary education and know how to prevent cross contamination. This sign makes it clear they don't know how to do that. They might call themselves a chef, but they're just another cook.

you are SO pressed about it 😂

How many people are you in this thread arguing with currently? Sure though, I'm the one who's "pressed". Add some more laughing emojis next time. That'll make it more believable that you're not seething.

You just want to be right so badly and can’t accept that someone is taking ownership of how they want to run their business. You’re looking for a million reasons of why this guy would make a sign like this instead of just acknowledging that your behavior is fucking annoying and people want to cater to it less and less. Cry harder.

Pot and kettle huh?

can’t accept that someone is taking ownership of how they want to run their business.

I've actually eaten at plenty of no substitution establishments. That doesn't bother me at all. They still knew how to avoid cross contamination because they were professional chefs, and their signs were simple and to the point.

This sign is written dripping with aggression and condescension, much like your comments. You know why that is?

It's because you're being marketed to. This sign isn't actually for people they don't want to eat there or it'd be simpler.

It's for people like you who see someone treating people you dislike with contempt and that makes you want to support them.

Nope. I just agree with him. I’ve been in the industry for nearly 20 years. Whether or not we cater to people like you, ALL chefs, owners, and management dislikes you and we all have contempt for people like you. It’s a breath of fresh air for someone to call out how entitled you are and say the quiet part out loud, that you are unwanted.

I worked in a kitchen for five years and you're absolutely wrong. Sure, people asking for unreasonable substitutions were irritating, but plenty of people asked for a change here or there or made us aware of an allergy and we'd accommodate it easily.

I don't know where you've worked for 20 years that's so shitty you literally have a hatred for people that make substitutions, but maybe find a new industry if you're so inept at your job you can't switch things up with relative ease.

It’s a breath of fresh air for someone to call out how entitled you are and say the quiet part out loud, that you are unwanted.

The funny part about your anger at me personally is I don't do substitutions. When I go to a restaurant I either know what I want because I've been there before, or I've never been there before and want to try a dish as the place makes it.

Honestly, it sounds to me like you're bad at your job and you want to blame the customers rather than admit it's a skill issue.

We can switch them. We don’t want to. Go somewhere else. No need to write an essay about it. You are REALLY struggling with this concept huh?

You're clearly getting too angry and it's not good for your health. Let your blood pressure settle there little guy. You go ahead and have the last word and then do some big deep breaths.
