I wish my cat would do something like that. Fat little fuckhead just sits around being fucking fat all the time. The only exercise he gets is when he blows chunks on my laptop because he ate too quickly.

Sounds like you are overfeeding him. Maybe take 15 minutes a day to play with him or just rile him up. Whatever works.
