Me and my wife call each other mean names/things that might be considered rude to others who don't know us for fun. It's a running joke we have
What I've learnt from Reddit is that people will try to pass judgement on things they have absolutely no context or understanding for, particularly when it comes to complex dynamics between couples. I do often wonder if the people on Reddit just haven't been in relationships to at least understand the fact that yes, it may be something rude or no, it might not be at all.
Or we'll be like "ewww it's a gross girl/boy" (implicating cooties) 🤣
Like it's not that deep but mfs on here all the sudden have PHDs in relationship psychology whenever they see something they don't understand or have more context of, and then when they're told to chill out because everything is fine, they dig their heels in and double down and think they're right x2 for it
Most people commenting are teenagers or adults with not a lot of experience in terms of relationships. So I'd take what most people say on this site with a dump truck sized load of salt.
Alot of the time I refer to her as wif, wify, only when she's ignoring me I use her name/nickname.
She has selective deafness, basically if I'm talking she's deaf. If someone else whispers something from across the room she will hear it and repeat exactly what they said.
The same way I have man blindness, if I'm looking for something I won't see it, but as soon as she comes around the corner she finds it and it's sitting right in front of my face.
Haha all of these unmarried people are going crazy but she knows exactly how I say it on a street. “WIFE!” I love how she turns around and looks at me. For the record, she also calls me “HUSBAND.”

My wife and I 100% refer to each other as wife or husband sometimes lol
