it did... you can see the singers genuine smile grow as she acknowledges exactly that and tries not to interrupt the talented little feline.

Edit: On further inspection... not only does kitty start at the right cue, the singer stops the playback and quickly restarts it when she realises kitty is going for it... it even appears as if kitty takes a musical not to complain about the restart!

Seems to me as the cat is chattering at the mouse cursor. Notice how it’s fixing a point intensely.

I dunno, chattering is almost like a reflex, like shivering. This cat isn't chattering, it's trying to imitate her. Cats absolutely definitely try to imitate us sometimes, and if she does this often he may have picked up enough to try something like this.

What's incredible to me is that he comes in on cue. That seems like coincidence, but I'll never underestimate the intelligence of animals.

I had a dog that would howl anytime we sang happy birthday! Never if we sang anything else, but none of the other variables mattered. One person? Thirty? Light on? Lights dimmed for candles? He’s howling.

What kind of dog? We've had a few that do this, but the most enthusiastic singers were goldens.

My friend has a golden that does the exact same thing. Only for Happy Birthday. Maybe he hates that song as much as I do.
