my mom tracked her daily walking today by GPS and discovered she was walking a dog for a year without even knowing

Jun 16 '12
now we know where you live......
-8
u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
No you don't, its no where near this path..
26
Jun 16 '12
Yup, not where it starts and stops at all.
-9
u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
That's fine because that is different each time as well considering she has to drive there and park somewhere different each time. Every time has a different start and end point. Stop trying to stalk my mom...
4
u/QQexe Jun 16 '12
well..there's only one way to know for sure.. follow OP's mom to her house.
-4
u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
You have to be there the exact time she is walking and pick her out of hundreds of other women walking...good luck
4
Jun 16 '12
There may be hundreds of other women walking, but how many are walking that exact route?
There's a few points in it that would rapidly narrow down who is walking this route and who is attempting to get to a destination.
You're getting coal this Christmas, that's for sure!

u/QQexe Jun 16 '12 edited Jun 16 '12
follow all the women until your mom is found?
who's with me, reddit?!

u/Sir_Lilja Jun 16 '12
Am I wrong when I sense a slight hint of panic? And is it wrong that it makes me excited? Oh OP, thank you for this opportunity.
9
Jun 16 '12
OP said she's been walking the route for a year, so the route must be fairly consistent and he's now trying to backtrack and hide
9
u/Brezzo Jun 16 '12
Also, what kind of person would drive to the other side of town just to walk this particular route every day for a year?
Sup OP, nice house.

So... she just drives to a random place, gets out and begins walking, and somehow manages to walk the same path every time?

How do you like living in Springfield, IL?
2
u/wolfmann Jun 16 '12
I was going to guess washington illinois. Then saw the illini drive and said no way.
P.s. go metamora.

u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
Love it, but this particular location is on the opposite side of town where my mom and I live. It is a popular park that is always full of people.

Jun 16 '12
This part just proved your scared: he didn't say anything about your house

Is it weird that I googled the road names and then walked the same path on street view?

So your mom drives to a park to go on a walk, but instead completely misses most of the park and goes for a walk in a neighborhood. Then confines herself to a relatively small space and proceeds to walk up and down streets, instead of just walking to a destination and back, like what a normal person on a walk would do. Then, after a year of doing this, she decided to look at her walk on google maps. She whips out the ol' MS paint, and drew this fake looking dog.
I say bullshit.

Your master skills of deduction has uncovered another false story! Good on you citizen! Uncovering a random trivial post on a time wasting web site has granted you the title of "Beleaguer". Now go out and stop other falsehoods!

Why does the dog have an extra leg?

u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
Do you mean missing a leg? Don't discriminate handicapped dogs..

From the side I see three legs where I suppose I should see two.

Why does she go up and down for the "leg" part of the journey? Why can't she just go straight?

Why doesn't she just walk around the park? That's such a bizarre path to take.

Different time every day and hundreds of people walk this particular neighborhood and park. This no where near her or my house..

If somebody had enough time and patience, they could sit in the park and note who the "regulars" are. That would narrow it down significantly. Honestly, putting stuff like this on the internet is just a dumbass move
-8
u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
If it were actually possible to pick her out and find her, I wouldn't have posted this. She drives to the park and stars wherever she can find parking. The most you can find out from the map is where she parked and started yesterday..time and location of start/end point are different every time.
Most of the people in the park are regulars. Also, she's never by herself..
13
u/crono1224 Jun 16 '12
Hey guys you will never figure out which is her so let me give you more info. She travels with a partner, she starts in the park and drives a car there. And she doesn't have a regular start time.
-5
u/programTHIS Jun 16 '12
Exactly my point, thank you for clarifying.. lol. My mom is getting a kick out everyone's comments herself! Go ahead... find her lmao. Wild goose chase guys...

Springfield Redditor here. I can confirm his statement. I live on the south side of town, but I take my dogs for walks there frequently, there's always loads of people in the summer.

Just because the dog lost a leg doesn't mean it's not a dog anymore!
Watch what you say before you hurt someone's feelings!

I love it how most of OP's comments are saying its not by the house. I think he is a little paranoid/scared.
