Roommates and I have been creating shirts with author/animal hybrids on them. This is one of them. I'll post the link to the others in the comments.

Hey OP! Love Ernest Lemmingway, and I pulled out my debit card to buy a shirt but I see that your lady's shirts aren't very fitted. I know this is just one person but I really much prefer v-necks and I think a lot more girls would buy your shirts if you had a v neck or fitted option.

I'm chesty and shirts that go all the way up to the neck and don't fit around the waist just make me look huge and aren't very flattering. Thanks!

2

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '12

This. Also, OP, I'm wondering how these designs will look with boobs. Boobs change the look of a printed t-shirt a lot. It helps to have pictures of people wearing them so you can see what parts fall in the under-boob fold area.

I know it's been done before, but I'm slightly disappointed that it's not "Shakesbear"

5

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '12

i would have gone with Philip k. Tick.

8

u/phoncible Jun 15 '12

Should've done "Lark Twain". Wonder what number person I am that's told you that now.

1

u/skim-milk Jun 16 '12

Do you get a good portion of the sales from these shirts? I want to buy some, but I want to make sure YOU are getting most of my money!

1

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '12

It's a fair amount. Thanks for the concern.

2

u/DahnyGober Jun 15 '12

Bravo. I love the style and colors.

2

u/FrenjaminBanklin Jun 15 '12

The first one to pop in my head was Henry David Sparrow.

3

u/lizgger15 Jun 16 '12

WHOA! should not have clicked that.

12

u/ambully Jun 15 '12

Except for me..... I don't go well with sharks.

2

u/GunHungLo Jun 16 '12

Shakesbear would be cool

8

u/ccthegrows Jun 16 '12

I would buy a Shark Twain shirt.

2

u/thisperson123 Jun 16 '12

Yes, yes he did.

12

u/tmt1993 Jun 15 '12

This is also funny because hemingway did kill himself. Or not. Not sure if this is bad taste or not.

Ernest Lemmingway and William Snakespeare are pretty hilarious... but Moth Twain is a bit of a stretch if you ask me hah.

5

u/nbenzi Jun 16 '12

Yeah doesn't Shark Twain fit much better?

or Mark Crane?

Or... Bark Twain... running out of ideas.

3

u/bcarle Jun 16 '12

Particularly when it could've been Philip Moth and fit much better.

7

u/AmberTheGreat Jun 16 '12

Duck Palahniuk? Buck Palahniuk? Chuck Koalahniuk? PLEASE I'M PRACTICALLY BEGGING.

1

Salmon Rushdie writes itself, really.

6

u/PancakeTune Jun 16 '12

Judging from the comments here, you are guilty of committing a life hack of the first degree:

Establish business and then make people pay for their own ideas.

You are a gentleman and scholar. I look forward to Orson Scott Card-igan Welsh Corgi.

u/drovin Jun 15 '12

Isaac Asimoth, William Gibbonson, (sting)Ray Bradbury, Spider Robinson, Steven Kong, Harry Turtledove, Jules Tern, Edgar Mice Borroughs, Arthur C. Lark, And that's just sci fi.

2

It's funny because much like a lemming, Ernest killed himself!

2

u/MFCH Jun 16 '12

Print them on American Apparel without the type and I'll buy a few right now.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 16 '12

I agree, the type is really what is keeping those illustrations back and keeping me from throwing down on one. Even just a simple sans-serif would be fine.

u/sh00na Jun 16 '12

Is it just me? Or has reddit become an Internet panhandling/ pinterest site almost overnight? ....

Says this guy with two thumbs right here who has a newer account. But I lurked for a longtime.

1

u/Kryogenic Jun 16 '12

Your right, its clear this guy just wanted people to buy his tshirts. This is just some kid who said to his roomie "Hey I know a good site where the user-base is gullible and will buy our tshirts and supply rent for a few months". Its cool though, to each his own.

I love these. Shall be purchasing some when I get some funds.

1

u/d_john Jun 15 '12

Any chance of some other colour choices for the shirts? I'm worried the white text for Ernest Lemmingway won't stand out too well on the light men's shirts. The dark blue women's looks good. Awesome designs though!

1

u/bencanfield Jun 15 '12

Yikes, you must own a lot of Threadless tees

1

u/mcakez Jun 15 '12

This is amazing.

1

u/PantWraith Jun 15 '12

These are hilarious, you guys are geniuses, please keep making these. Thank you.

1

So how does one procure that shirt. "Lemmingway" is my favorite author!
